We’re steadily approaching the release of Madden NFL 26, and EA Sports has revealed which players are a part of the coveted 99 Club – the players awarded a 99 overall statistic. There’s an argument to be made that Madden player ratings don’t really matter, but there’s usually very little doubt that the select group in the 99 Club are among the National Football League’s best athletes.
As a series released yearly, Madden‘s player ratings are not only constantly changing, but are interesting metrics for seeing how the real-life NFL evolves. Madden NFL 26‘s player ratings are taken from a very wide array of information, from measurable stats like 40-yard-dash times to more intensive analytics like game film analysis. It’s also important to keep in mind that an OVR is essentially an aggregate of a player’s other stats, which are weighted for their individual position.
Madden NFL 26 Reveals Its 99 Club
This Year’s MVP Candidates
Today, July 28, EA Sports revealed the Madden NFL 26 99 Club, comprised of seven players from six separate teams. It’s an interesting smattering of positions, with two Quarterbacks, two Wide Receivers, one Running Back, a Right Tackle, and a Defensive End. Two players in the 99 Club are teammates on the Philadelphia Eagles – this isn’t the first time that’s happened, but it’s notable nonetheless.
Every Player With 99 OVRs In Madden NFL 26
Introducing The 99 Club

Here’s the full list of players in the Madden NFL 26 99 Club:
- Josh Allen – QB, Buffalo Bills
- Saquon Barkley – RB, Philadelphia Eagles
- Ja’marr Chase – WR, Cincinnati Bengals
- Myles Garret – DE, Cleveland Browns
- Lamar Jackson – QB, Baltimore Ravens
- Justin Jefferson – WR, Minnesota Vikings
- Lane Johnson – RT, Philadelphia Eagles
Interestingly, the entirety of last year’s 99 Club – Patrick Mahomes, Christian McCaffrey, Travis Kelce, Trent Williams, and Tyreek Hill – did not make the cut this year. Justin Jefferson, Lamar Jackson, and Myles Garrett all moved up a single OVR point from Madden NFL 25 to make it into Madden NFL 26‘s 99 Club. Josh Allen may have benefitted from Madden 26‘s QB changes, where his height (6’ 5″) gives him better vision in-game.
After the Eagles’ dominance in Super Bowl LIX, it’s not too surprising to see both Saquon Barkley and Lane Johnson make the cut. Key changes are making players hopeful Madden NFL 26 could be a great entry in the long-running series, and these seven players are fitting headliners.
